NOTICE OF RACE

 

  1. RULES:  The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS 2001-2004), including the prescriptions of US Sailing, and the sailing instructions.
    1. RRS 61.1.a will be changed to require a protesting boat to inform and be acknowledged by the RC when protesting at the conclusion of the race protested.
    2. RRS 44.1 will be changed to DSQ any boat entering the out of bounds areas without ability to exonerate herself.
  2. ENTRY:  Open to all Eagle Creek Sailing Club Members (past and present) and Race Fellows.  There is no pre-registration.  Register day of the event.
  3. FLEETS:  3 Fleets – Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker and Portsmouth.
  4. FEES:  No Entry Fee.  One T-Shirt per boat.  Other shirts available for sale.
  5. SCHEDULE:

  1. RACES:  Up to five (5) races on Saturday.  Up to three (3) races on Sunday.  No more than seven (7) races total.
  2. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:  Will be available after 0900 Saturday, October 9th, 2004 at the registration table.
  3. COURSES:  Will be sixteen (16) preset courses using ECSC Permanent and temporary marks.
  4. SCORING:  Scoring shall be by the Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A of RRS.  There will be no throw-outs.
  5. PRIZES:  Prizes will be awarded as follows:  1st, 2nd and 3rd in each fleet and overall.
