Guest sailors are always welcome at our Club
If you are coming to our Club for a scheduled regatta, here are some pointers for your help:
1. Camping is acceptable in our grassy area near our lower shelter (see pics below). A fire pit is there as well as a shelter from adverse weather.
2. We keep about a dozen open docking slips for short-term guests. These are located in the pic above left.
3. Indoor restrooms are open 24/7 in our upper shelter house complete with showers. Drink, snack machines, and telephone are also there as well.
4. As a general rule we try to keep the entry gate to our Club locked after dark. If you’re planning a late entry
or exit we ask that you make prior arrangements (you could be locked in).
5. The launching ramp is centrally located in our parking area. A gin (mast) pole is also available.
6. Our Club is located at the end of a long cove off the southwest side of Eagle Creek Reservoir...and hence fairly well protected from stronger winds and waves. However, you might need help in traversing this cove in lighter wind when trying to get to the main lake body for the racing (motor, tow, etc).
7. We will have pontoon boats, a RIB and a whaler used for race control…utilizing marine channel 68.
8. We usually have Club apparel available for purchase at our scheduled regattas.
9. Wireless Internet access is available in our Upper Shelter (SSID: BobsWireless).
10. Pizzas can be delivered to the Club at certain hours from nearby Chicago’s Pizza, 317-299-3990.

Guest sailors coming to our Club for non-scheduled events should check-in with someone first. We do have the normal reciprocity for I-LYA member clubs and just about all US Sailing clubs…but we would like to know of your arrival to help with your stay.
As this is a private club, non-reciprocity visitors must be a guest of a member.
