We’ve taught many sailors who often start in small
boats, then work their way up to larger ones. Even when you own a large
sailboat, it is important to think of the vessel as a big dinghy.This
classroom and on the water and teaches basic sailing skills on small
boats (14’ Lasers and 13’ Flying Juniors). |

Life Jacket Required
Sailor’s talk (basic definitions and technical
words)
Marlinspike (knots & lines)
Right-of-way (rules of the road)
Reading the wind and waves
Sail trim and draft control
Safety versus self protection
Sail care
Rigging
On the water around the buoys
Righting the boat after a capsize

And, for you harder core sailors who want to get
wet, we teach Laser sailing after 12:00 noon with our
advanced class. Lots of line time with windward and downwind
practice. We will supply the boat and sails...Class ends
around 5:00 pm. |
